Got my Ballistic case in as well, shipping was very quick, kudos to them for that.
As for the case itself, I am very impressed and pleased. As I stated before my only previous experience with "heavy duty" cases has been with an Otterbox defender I had on my HTC Hero. My fiance also has a couple of colors of the Otterbox impact series for her iPhone. I personally think Otterbox makes a solid product based on my experience, so I was pretty annoyed that they didn't make one for the Epic 4g Touch.
The Ballistic case is two parts. The first layer is the silicone layer that easily slips on the phone and holds it fairly snug, but not so snug that you have to stretch it to slip it off for cleaning. The corners are oversized and they are what really makes this case. After a few test drops I can tell that the phone is going to hit one of these large padded corners almost every time, so I feel very confident that my phone will be fine in this case.
The other outermost layer is the dimpled polycarbonate "shell". This part sort of grips the silicone skin and makes sure the case comes together in a nice, clean way. The shell is really good looking in my opinion and is nice and slick. I find this to be an important addition because it allows the phone to be "pocketable" like Ballistic claims. The slick back cover allows you to slide the phone in and out of your pocket much easier than a phone covered in sticky silicone.
Overall, like I said before, I am extremely pleased with the case. I don't mind not having a built in screen protector as I am a big fan of Bestskinsever.com screen protectors. I have been using them for screen protection products for around 5 years now and I wouldn't think of buying anything else.
The screen protector I ordered from BSE came perfectly cut for the E4GT and went on easily. Within a couple of days the haze disappeared and I now have a screen protector I can hardly notice is on my phone. I actually think the feel of BSE has improved over the years and I prefer the feel of the protector over the stock gorilla glass, but that is just my preference. As is the case with every screen protector I have ever tried there is a bit of "rainbowing" that you can notice on totally white screens, but the effect is very slight, and I believe the benefits of a screen protector outweigh the negatives (darn you keys!).
If Ballistic makes a case for my next phone they will be getting my business instead of Otterbox for sure.
