Hell cats kernel

I flashed it over the top of siyah so I don't see why you'll have any problems.

Nice , just waiting for the phone to charge. In the zip file is a folder titled Modules with a .ko file inside. I couldnt find any reference to it on the xda thread. This is aside from the .tar file.

Sorry for my excitability. Everyone raves about siyah but this caused loads lag for me (all recent versions) so very happy to find a kernel that doesn't. battery life does seem amazing but was previously good on stock rom anyway, and not sure this kernel is that much different in terms of tweaks to improve battery. But used very heavily so far for 48 hours and battery been the best I've had.

Pros. Battery. Supports bln. Extra customisable tweaks possible. Comes with an app to save and restore efs.

Cons. Oc and uc not supported.

Just flashed over siyah b13. Seems snappier, I'll recharge and pull the battery tomorrow and see how that goes.

So many roms and kernels, so little time...

It's an external module for CIFS (network share) support.

I couldnt find any reference to it on the xda thread.

It's there post #1 in very small print. Due to size constraints cifs.ko couldn't be included in the kernel so if required it has to be manually copied into the correct folder and will be loaded by the kernel during init.

I've said it once and I'll say it again .......

Just flashed. Stable, quick, and battery wow, just wow!

Idk if this has been posted in this thread, but had a weird problem wit this kernel. I would get constant bootloops when i plugged in my earphones, then it would boot up right away (normally) after unplugging. On Speedmod now. So far, so good...
