Hello! I never owned a smartphone before and recently my mom got an iPhone she offered for Chirstmas to get me one as well. I think it's pretty cool but I am not a fan of AT&T and I am a current Verizon user. So I saw the new Droid and I thought why not get one of those instead? I'm really excited to get one but at the same time nervous. I've heard some bad bugs about the droid on this forum as well as others. Should I wait to get a smart phone until the bugs are all fixed? I really don't want a buggy phone, I am a big phone user and even it being unavailable for a little while is a big issue for me :). Thanks!

Hey welcome to the forums. I would say if you're not really a power user to wait for the update on 12/11. Also please head over to the Droid forums HERE. Where myself and all of the other guides and users will try and help you out with any question or comments you may have.

Hi Man, don't know if you got your phone or not. Hope my advice is not too late.
I'm going to say 'go and get a Droid!'. Motorola has OTA update, just keep the check system update option open, your phone will be automatically update(bugs fixed) once they push new update over the air and you chose install it. So it's not a problem. I'm using Milestone(UMTS version of Droid), it's cool!
