Hello, all! Will someone please help me?

Hello, all

I am 100% new to app development, and the only web development I've done was minimal and have all but slipped my mind. I'm working on the HelloWorld introduction app; however, at the end of all the steps when I try to run debug, I get the following message:

[2011-07-29 17:40:16 - Emulator] invalid command-line parameter: Station\Android\android-sdk\tools/emulator-arm.exe.
[2011-07-29 17:40:16 - Emulator] Hint: use '@foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'.
[2011-07-29 17:40:16 - Emulator] please use -help for more information

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am following the directions from Sam's Teach Yourself Android Application Development. I have also tried following along with several Youtube videos. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the AndroidForums, Ivanfiles :)!

Glad you signed-up.

I did a quick Google search using parts of your above reported error message ("Emulator] invalid command-line parameter: android-sdk\tools/emulator-arm.exe") and there were several results that looked very similar to what you are seeing (they seem to point to an issue of your SDK path having a space in it, if I'm reading them correctly):

Android Emulator is not starting showing " invalid command-line parameter" - Stack Overflow

Android Emulator - invalid command-line parameter: - Stack Overflow

Anyway, check out the above links (stackoverflow.com is a great resource for you, by the way).

Be sure to visit our own development section here at AF:

and the various sub-forums, which have a lot of great information that should help you, too.

Cheers and good luck!

Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate you taking your time to help me! I can't wait to get home and try to correct this error! Thank you for the support, you guys are awesome! :)
