Hello All

Martin J

Newbie
So I'm a smart-phone latecomer.

I was one of the first people to own a cell phone (a Motorola brick) but always considered the primary function of a phone was to make calls. Music, E-mail, video, all pointless. Who wants to watch TV on a tiny screen? I'm not much of an Apple fan either and tend to use open-source software where possible, so the iPhone left me fairly cold.

Then a few weeks ago, I researched Android phones and bought an HTC Hero expecting to be impressed by the technology but at the same time, unlikely to get much use from the bells and whistles. Well that thought quickly went out of the window... now I'm addicted, and I even "tweet".

I'm based in the UK and my provider is T-Mobile, but I bought an unlocked phone from Amazon.

Welcome to Android Forums!!!

Before you begin, check out the rules here

If you need help with something, feel free to ask, but to keep the forum efficient and smooth running, please look for the appropriate thread as most concerns have been answered already!

Also, if you asked a question here, after SEARCHING for your solution, post it in an appropriate forum, and it will get answered. Questions in the introduction forum don't get answered, generally.

There is plenty to do here at Androidforums.com, Stop by the Forum Games Section and play around, or do some politics debating in the lounge! Hope your here to stay, and see you in the forums!
