I'm glad to have joined this forum. I have actually learned a lot of new things reading through some of the threads here, and hope to learn more. It seems like a knit community here.

I'm on my 2nd android, Samsung Admire, for MetroPCS. My 1st Android was the LG Optimus M. My Admire is rooted and I'm debating whether to put a custom ROM on it. Maybe I will with some more knowledge and information and ROMs and stuff.

There's all kinds of wonderful information here, as you can tell. And quite the friendly bunch of users as well.

As far as installing a ROM goes, just do your research, that's the best advice I can give. Make sure you will like the look first, then read and find out what kind of bugs the ROM has, if it has any. Make sure you back up your stuff...if you don't already have it I suggest getting titanium back up and dropbox... They'll become your best friends... And titanium backup is something I would suggest getting the paid version of.
