Help Hello Android Keyboard?

Why is it that the android keyboard is not on this phone? And where do i find it? I went to the market and all i could find is android keyboards in Asian languages. Hey, don't us native English speaking folk deserve a little recognition and respect?

But seriously. ..how do i find it, before i hurt somebody

I downloaded the Gingerbread keyboard off of the marketplace and like it a LOT more then the one that comes standard. For some reason, I seem to be too uncoordinated for Swype!

Does it put the comma button on the main screen? That's what I hate about the stock keyboard settings.

No, sadly the comma is still on the alternate screen. The swype keyboard has the comma on the main screen and is preinstalled on the Charge. I'm in the process of trying to get better at using swype.

Thank you for the gingerbread keyboard suggestion. It's just what I was looking for. This post is the first time I'm using it. It's like the Android keyboard but better.
And the comma is not on the alternate screen exclusively. Punctuations and standard symbols show up right above the keyboard. It's perfect!

Update: Hackers Keyboard is the way to go especially with the Charge's big screen. It's very customizable. I set it up with 5 rows with the top being designated for numbers and symbols. There's directional arrows and a slew of designated punctuation keys. You can also change the size of the buttons.

I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't know about it.

Just use the Swype keyboard thats already on your phone. It has the comma on both landscape and portrait, and you can type on it like a regular keyboard just fine if you don't like to "swype".

Hackers Keyboard, I might have to check that out... I hate the little notification you get that the keyboard downloads may be keystroke loggers trying to steal your personal info, always makes you think twice about trying something new in the keyboard department...
