welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!!!!

moved you to the premia 4g forum for better help.

have you contacted metro? or brought it in? not sure about your phone nor metro....sorry:o

I second token. I just bought one this Saturday from a person off craigslist.

We met at a metro store to make sure everything went well. If we did not do that, the guy would have left with the UICC card that he thought was a sim card. Metro pretty much told him that the card needs to stay with the phone, else I cannot activate it without the card. The guy had to go back to his car and get the card, bring it to the store and wait till I activated the phone before I gave him the money as promised.

He was real nice about, after all, I am the customer and need to be satisfied.

In short, go to metro and see what they say about it. The ESN might be bad. Also, is the "sim" card inside the case under the battery? It should also have a card there. If it does not have that, you cannot activate the phone as what I have been told.

Actually! You can!

Dial *228 and either say activate a phone or if you have a number already say switch phones.

As long as a uicc card is in there you can activate and call again. Get to a person and tell them you need to update the uicc on your account.
Read them the numbers on the card and it should transfer nicely.
I've burned out a card before (overheating the phone) and popped one of my old ones in with no issue.
