i'm a noob with all this... just graduated from (don't laugh) a s@msung sch-u520, flip phone... to a htc incredible.

i've had the phone for about 3 days and it's all good so far.. working on trying to get max usage from the battery....

i installed advanced task killer free today. it helps with displaying what apps are running and allows you to choose which ones you want to stop.

i joined the forums because they have been very helpful in finding the answers to questions i had concerning my phone here...

i have a lot of reading to do....

Another AF secret is that most newer Android 2.2 devices really do not need ATK. The Android OS is smart enough to be able to suspend apps when not in use and make their memory available to other applications. What happens many times is that ATK kills tasks that are unneeded and then Android, seeing that the app is gone, re-starts them. This process has the potential of becoming a vicious cycle within the phone which uses more battery and memory...
