I live about 10 minutes up the street from Gettysburg, PA. I'm surrounded by civil war battlegrounds LOL.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the link to the Incredible Forum! It will be a big help to me as I'm trying to find a way to root my Incredible without hooking it to the PC.

I've tried GingerRoot and it just crashes the phone and z4root says it roots it, reboots, but then it's not rooted when it boots up??? Any advice/ideas?

Thanks,

James

Welcome to the AndroidForums, James!

Glad you signed-up and very happy you want to be an active member (so many are shy when they first sign-up (me included , but I've gotten over that, LOL)).

Not familiar with the Incredible's rooting method, but I'm sure you'll find all you need here in the all-things-root sub-forum:

Incredible - All Things Root - Android Forums

and specifically, this thread:

Good luck and again, welcome to AF .

Cheers!

I'm on the other side of the Susquehanna, closer to Philly. Check out those rooting links Alien gave you and you should be okay in no time.
