Hello everyone

[And_New]

I'm a complete beginner at this.

I just downloaded Java 7 and the Eclipse IDE because I could not find another one.

What I will need is to be directed to the step by step tutorials on making something that runs on the web versus an app that runs standalone.

If there is a difference.

Hopefully You have all the answers.

Welcome to the AndroidForums, And_New.

It sounds like you want to be involved in Android app development? Or are you looking for web development?

The following forum has some good information that can help you get started learning about Android app development for apps that run on your Android device:

Application Development - Android Forums

(can't help you with the web thing, though).

Good luck and glad you signed-up with us here at AF.
