Hello everyone!

Ridzvarn

Lurker
Greetings,

How you all doing? I'm writing a short introduction about myself here and thanks for reading. [emoji1]

I'm Ridz, from Malaysia. Working as Security Administrator with Shell Malaysia. I've been there for almost 6 years and now already resigned to give more focus to my own business. Just a small business in IT. But I have my dream to make it not to stay small. Wish me success [emoji4] [emoji106]

Ok, for unknown reason, I really addicted on IT related things. From PC hardwares and also softwares, networking etc. And now, I'm going to learn about Android by participating in android forum like xda, android forum, android central and other relevant sources to get information about troubleshooting, modding, porting etc and also to enhancing my existing knowledge in this systems.

Thank you to all for your informative sharing here and hope we all, me and you will get what you dreaming of oneday. Have a great day ahead! [emoji1] [emoji1]

Best regards.

Hello Ridz, and welcome :)

Feel free to explore the forums, ask any questions you have, and have fun!

If you're interested in rooting and custom ROMs:
The two main advantages of rooting a phone are being able to put a custom ROM on the phone and the ability to install apps that require root.

Two downsides - there is a small chance you can brick the phone, and if it's newer you may void the warranty.

The root process is different for every phone, so follow instructions for your specific device. Here is more information about rooting:
