hello from a soon-to-be blackberry-to-android convert

Hello all!

At this moment I'm a Blackberry 8130 pearl user and after seeing what the Blackberry OS6 and 9800 torch turned out to be, and since I'd never end up being an Apple iPhone person, I've decided to make the change to Android hopefully by January 2011.

I found this forum based on the sheer size of this one compared to others. I'm also a member of crackberry.com and androidcentral.com.

If there's one thing I'd initially like to gain from this resource we have here, it would be to help make a decision on which will be my first Android-based device. If there's any other blackberry-to-android converts here, please speak your mind!

I am in the same boat as you, I am on my third BB 8700>8820>Bold 9000. I too was unimpressed with the new Torch and have decided to make the switch to the funny green robot.

I am currently awaiting my shipment of a brand new Droid X. The thought of a virtual keyboard does scare me but I had good success playing with Swype on a coworkers phone.
