I just joined this site and I hope to both learn and contribute. I bought a Motorola XOOM from Verizon in April and want to get the most out of it for work and play. The first thing I would like to learn about is rooting, I.e. what it is, what are the advantages and disadvantages and should I be concerned about the Verizon "root police"? I will check earlier posts and the search function on this site but if anyone can direct me to a site that provides step by step directions for a newbie I would be most appreciative
