Hello from new Android fan :-D

Hey Guys

Previous iPhone fan now a 100% convert to Android. I just got a HTC desire and I'm absolutely loving it so far! Android really is the way forward I'm very excited about its future.

So this weekend I had a nightmate trying to root the phone, but I eventually did it. However my problems only started there. I got my phone from 02 (Ireland) and it has 2.1 - I want to try a rom with 2.2 and a few add ons - but I am totally unable to get the roms installed. I will be posting a few help threads so I hope you might be able to help me.

Welcome Zascar! Cool, another Desire owner! Well, I haven't upgraded by version to 2.2; still using 2.1 eclair, but it's still an amazing phone to use. Way better than my previous n97 mini.

Welcome dude!

To get 2.2 on ur device try updating through Android.... or you can use a custom ROM but this can be buggy:
