Welcome to the forums pardaniel. I'm an S2 user myself and have the same problems here in the US. I'm looking at a Galaxy Note 3 to solve the battery life problem. I won't know about reception until I actually have a Note 3 in hand.

Being a former s2 owner myself (upgraded to the s3 earlier this year), I feel your pain about the reception and battery. However for the battery, if you don't mind having a bit bulkier phone there are extended battery options.

Bad reception is because you're using gsm. Nmt is old but has a better coverage for calling in Norge.
