Back from africa. my lovely phone is up and working. Missed the fun and games on phandroid. So what's happening? No new check rom? Everyone now on ics? anyone want to give me a lazy heads up on the latest rom and kernel, or any other goodies I should be flashing?

My advice to you is to flash Neat Lite LPI with Siyah 3.3.2 and LPX or LQ5 modem.

Hey shotty. I hear on the grape vine that you've defected, you galaxy slag.

Africa was so cool, an amazing time was had, and in many ways gutted to be back..... Was helping out in a clinic, doing noble heroic volunteering type stuff.

Welcome back to sunny England!!!

Now, don't go listening to Hawker... he's as tight with his information as he is with a round of drinks.

This is what you need to do...

1. Nandroid & Titanium backup's to SD card, (efs file wouldn't go amiss too).

2. Download a stock ICS firmware, like LPG.

3. Do a complete wipe of phone and flash LPG with Odin. This is your ICS platform base. Do a nandroid of it.

4. Then you can re-root using the CF-Root LPG kernel and following this excellent guide, with step-by-step instructions and video, "Rooting Galaxy S2 - A Dummies Guide", a must for anyone thinking of rooting their SGSII as it contains a whole host of useful hints and tips for all would-be modders.

5. Then d/l NEAT LITE LPI and Siyah 3.4.1 kernel, be careful there all mixed up with S3 kernels.

6. (Optional) Then d/l the JKay framework and the DeLuxe Settings and not forgetting the LQ5 modem, (courtesy of Shotty).. the latest and greatest.

7. Flash away!

That should bring you up to speed old thing! :D

Yeah sorry I'm a slag. Sometimes ones slaggyness just gets the better of them and you have to do what you have to do. Don't worry though I'm still hanging out here when I'm not getting grief for jumping ship:D
