Root Hello new for the xoom fourm

Hello I've had the xoom tablet for a bit now from when it first came off. It has the 4.1.2 on it and I got bored and put it down and just today I picked it back up since it was just collecting dust. So I was wondering how to root this tablet? I never rooted any thing. Please and thank you

Oh ok and yea I just tried the universal root for the xoom and it didn't work so don't know what to do lol

I don't have a Xoom, but with an unlockable boot loader on all my devices the steps should be identicle, you make sure you get the correct recovery.

That guide above looks good so ling as the downloads are still available. As an alternative to the full blown SDK, we have a mini version that is much easier and smaller.

Hmm Il have to check it out thank you but yea i put this tablet down cause I got bored of it hopefully rooting it will change my mind

i cant root it...i dont understand it...well guess its going back in the closet again to collect dust...

got all the way to where i downloaded the android sdk manager and it said couldnt fetch file. file not found.....
