Root Hello time to get serious

I am new to this forum and the world of smart phones in general but I am overwhelmed with all the versitility that they bring to the table. I wanted to know however what is the best battery I can get for my device (HTC evo v 4g) and also case protector as I have been on amazon I see a lot of different accessories but don't want to fall into any unknown setbacks by purchasing something that is incompatible or is known to have issues by users, I'm also looking to upgrade my SD card from 32gb to a 64 but not right now I have a strict budget. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Aftermarket batteries are a mixed bag and there is a lot of quality variability with battery components, assembly, and resulting price. If you want a well made battery that fits the stock back cover, I highly recommend a 1900mAh battery made by Anker: Amazon.com: Anker

Keep in mind if you get a bigger battery it will come with a bigger cover which is great except you'll be very limited to what phone cases you can get if you want one. I personally recommend the otterbox, I have the Defender series which comes with a built in screen protector and belt clip/stand. It's not cheap but fairly reasonable on Amazon, I think I got mine for $25, and they have the best customer service on the planet if you have any issues. But it only fits the stock battery cover...

OK I didn't know that actually I don't use a case really like to feel my phone had this for a month dropped once but I am looking for one this thing cost too much money to be arrogant with lol I don't know much about the battery you're using but I'll look it up in a min 25 bucks ain't cheap to me but if its worth it than I see it as an investment. I'll check it out.

I have used it for months. The clear choice if you don't mind a thicker phone. Easily 2 days heavy usage. More than double the stock battery

I can also vouch for HTC's Evo 3d's desktop dock: Amazon.com: HTC Original EVO 3D Desktop Cradle Dock in OEM (99H10403-00) Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

I have a standard phone cover that I bought from best buy when I purchased my phone. Does anyone know if (with the cover on), this will fit in the phone docking station? The picture shows without any cover whatsoever. Any feedback would be helpful.

No cover will fit the oem HTC dock, that's why I use the Kidigi dock, has a removable insert for when you use a case. Also has a slot for charging a second battery. Plus like the oem dock you can plug your mhl cable right into the back.

I do not reccomend the commuter case from otterbox, it is very loose and my phone has almost slipped out of the case once or twice.
That being said otterbox has AMAZING customer service from what I've read on the forums, I haven't contacted them yet about my case so maybe I just got a faulty one.

I've head nothing but good things about the otterbox defender, but that case just seems too bulky for me.

Just bought a 3650 for 9.98 from e bay says it should get to me between 9/13-9/19 really excited as to my understanding the evo series back cover and batteries are interchangeable plus I believe I got an awesome deal I appreciate the input everybody put in Thank You.

oh jermaine. You get what you pay for buddy. Remember that. That battery suxxxxxxxxx. It will be fine for a month or 2. But then it will stop holding its charge after a while AND THE EVO AND EVO 3D COVERS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE

Maybe but I just ordered a QCell 3850mAh battery with included cover for only $4.35 after discounts and gift cards and I also got free 2 day shipping what do you think?

I looked at the sellers history and he had all good reviews I hope that this product isn't what you say but if it is lesson learned then but you could buy a high priced battery and it be a dud also I guess that's why these forums are put together so we can look out for each other, fingers crossed even tho I'm not superstitious

I was going to order this battery for my htc evo v 4g but the heading says it is incompatible with this phone. Can anyone shed some light on this??
If this battery and cover is not compatible, can someone direct me to a good quality battery that is??
Thanks

This is compatible any for the Evo 3D is compatible to the Evo V 4G. The heading says that not compatible with the OG Evo, LTE, and Evo Design

The $6 3500 maH battery that I purchased on ebay from a US seller works extremely well, I've owned it for awhile now and have absolutely no issues with it. The battery cover however sucks, it chips quite easily.
