Thought I'd say hello.

Just making the transition from an iPhone 3G to the HTC Hero.

Currently loving the Hero, especially the multi-tasking, and the screen is fantastic.

Two main areas that I'm struggling with compared to the iPhone is a lack of Visual Voicemail and the in-call screen (the iPhone one is great, with mute, speakerphone etc all on the main screen).

While on/in call press the Menu key for more options ...

Thanks - I'd worked that one out, but it's not as convenient. I often use the phone for conference calls, and it's easy to just tap the mute button on and off when required (by anyone round the table), whereas having to use the menu button first is more of a pain, and much less intuitive for others.

Are there any apps that can modify the in-call screen?

Not aware of any ... but possibly ... give the Market a search
