For a while now I've been pondering whether to get an iPhone or a Nexus S. Finally decided and have ordered my Nexus S online! I'm not nearly as familiar with Android as I was with the iOs so I'm sure it'll be confusing at first, but I'm excited.
What you have is a great phone there. What you also have is a great forum, here! Feel free to ask questions and learn. We're very friendly, especially to new folks. Welcome!
Welcome like Steven said we are nice people... well most of us there is a small learning curve but just play with your phone is the best way to learn it so have fun
