Hi there, my name's Brian. I just joined after doing a google search and out of necessity.

I don't have a Droid myself but my dad just got the Moto Droid as he was due for a new phone. I've been trying to convert some of his Palm Pilot files to .csv for the phone but have been having a lot of trouble.

All the sites and things i've read is to use Outlook to export to .csv but of course it doesn't come for free anymore unless you buy Office. I'm pretty good with pc's and can build my own aside from all the wiring but this has really frustrated me as I can't find a simple solution.

I found a bunch of programs but they all convert FROM .csv and not to. Few programs that said in their description they convert to .csv don't or charge $40 which i'd rather not pay considering i'd only use the program once or twice.

Are there any good free programs out there?

I take it there's probably many here that have had the same trouble so i'm probably in real good company :)

It's his contacts and memo pad that includes all kinds of info he uses which I was hoping to move over.

Thanks for your any help you guys can provide.

Brian

Welcome to the AF forums and enjoy your visits !!

Thanks everyone for the welcome, much appreciated.

Didn't find what I was looking for in search but found it in Motorola's forum. Didn't realize each phone had it's own, that's definitely great that they're not all bunched into one.
