Hi! I'm a Undergraduate and doing a final year project on the Android platform.
I'm sort of stuck at the moment and came here to seek help!
And that's my introduction! Haha...
A little about my project. I'm essentially trying to port gphoto2 to the Android platform.
I've 2 methods of achieving this goal.
Method 1 is to rewrite gphoto2 in Java so for use on Android. I've started on this and basic functions are working and it's very hard and tedious. I'll probably stop doing it this way.
Method 2 is to use gphoto and JNI wrap it all up and make it work on the Android. Past students have done this and have made it work with libusb which required root access to the device. I'm here in this forums trying to find a way to make the libusb unroot. :X I think I found the thread which allows the usage of the USB Host API to be used in the libusb by taking the File Descriptors.
Anyone who can help would be appreciated!
I'll let you take a look at my code.
Thanks!
