To remove the kids software (example; on the nabi 2 there's that nabi mode, that switches from normal mode to learning mode) you can remove the app itself in the (Settings/Apps--- ex. Nabi mode or blah) , if that doesn't work you'll have to roof it then remove them. Remove anything that has to deal with the kids software.

yeah it will depend on what device you have. you might have to root it as those parental controls are usually baked into the device's os which you will not have access to change it. you can most likely disable it, but not delete it entirely unless you root the tablet.
