Help HELP!!! 1x instead of 3G since upgrade...

So I have been having major issues with 3g cutting out since the OTA upgrade. I am definitely thinking about rooting, but would prefer to give the community some time to work the kinks out before doing so. Anyone have suggestions for this problem in the mean time? I live in an area where 3g shouldn't be an issue, and haven't had any issue in the past. This is just getting way too frustrating.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem about a month ago and since I am rooted I just restored my previous backup and all was well again. I also had the wifi problem last night and fixed it by restoring my previous backup. I do backups on a weekly basis, so I never lose much.

I your case though I would first try a soft reset (pulling the battery while the phone is on, let it sit about a minute before putting the battery back in) ... if that doesn't work call Verizon and see if they can help ... If that doesn't work I would try a factory reset. Try these three things before you root, just in case its a faulty devise ... you will still be able to get it replaced.
