3G doesn't come up in the top corner and cannot connect to the internet at all please help.

I am using Telstra here in Australia and all APN settings are correct.

Hi. I am from the US, with a Global data package, and currently in the Dominican Republic. I have not been able to get connected to the internet and the Global Support Team has not been able to figure it out for over a month now! They keep saying that they have a "Trouble Ticket" out on getting it fixed, but nothing gets fixed!
Have you heard back from anyone else about how to fix it?
I could get connected when I had a Blackberry.
