Root {help} 4G Limit

I will probably talk to my parents about changing my plan. I can afford $50 a month ( Which is family ).

But is there a way to use 3G? Because on my motion, my 3G was getting 400kb/s on a good day

Yessir, like I said before, I pay $35 & $55 total = $90 ($40 & $60 minus $5 per line for the family plan), one unlimited, one not. Free hotspot on my unlimited phone, the L70, helps when we're not home and she can't use the home wifi, she'll just tether off me so her speeds fly.
 
They told me one time if I add 15.00 that would put me at 65.00 which was unlimited . but when they gave it to you it ran out fast almost as if they never hit you with extra data. That's why I said watch metro PCs they play a good game . but what area are you in it maybe a tower being updated

That's what I was saying, APN switch won't help, it's your plan.
Your speed is capped 4g, not LTE or 3g. Try switching to 3 or 2 g networks.

Sounds like they're trying to give you the shaft! I'm between Tampa and Brooksville in FL and haven't had issues with metro. If I get a bad signal airplane mode don't fix I jump on Tmobiles APN.
 
I think that the Xblast tools in xposed has a "3g cap hack" for it. it would add something to the build prop that would uncap the 3g... but thats what I think.

So I tried it, but when I did nothing happened. The 4G symbol went away, but nothing came back.

Did I do something wrong?

Yeah nothing happened. Just like you stated.

So there is no way to increase my speeds? Cause I can't even load a app in the playstore v~v

Nope, there is no way to get around a speed cap. Literally no possible way via your phone. The whole thing is controlled by T-Metro.

Do you have WiFi at home?

Either through your settings or one of multiple apps from the Play Store...but...not sure if this is even possible. The 4g we see on this phone is actually an advanced 3g band, not regular old 4g nor LTE, so 2 & 3 g are probably the only options.
 
From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't have the hw for 3g. you definitely get full 4g, its throttled in a variable inside of systemui.apk @ 300kb/s. I changed it to 3000 and maxed at 1.8mB. The problem you get is 3g is actually 2gadvanced. Which is slow as piss.
