I have been getting "background restricted data" messages. I am on the road trying to charge it and is depleting as fast as i charge it. It wasn't. doing this before i started receiving this message. Does anyone know?

From the Verizon website ...

Check your "Smart Actions" to see if there is something there that says "Battery Extender". In the Battery Extender Rule, it basically turns off Background Data when your phone sleeps, thus extending your battery life. To remove this action, just hold down on the rule, and when it pops up the action menu, choose delete.

I can't find. Anything that says Smart action Battery extender. Where could i find this under settings?

This is an unproven area for me also.

Try this ... go to System Settings/Data Usage.
Click Settings button.
Make sure Restrict background data is not checked.

It was not checked but I did choose not to display data and so far so good.
