My new admire been nothing but a nightmare,keeps going into silent mode on it's own screen turns black so fast even though set on ten minutes locks in a second u can't finish dialing before turns black,dials numbers randomly this is my second exchange does the same.I miss calls unless see oncomeing call on scree i keep put back into ringtone.sometime band in middle wont go all way for me to make a call when run finger across.texting no matter hoe i do settings does what it wants.I am so depressed over my phone and i'm stuck.

Okay, doing my best to understand your issues as you have laid them out, my recommendation would be to try a factory reset to see if it solves the issues (volume down+ home key+ power held simultaneously with the phone off til the screen lights up then wipe all data) if that doesn't work check to see that you don't have the sensor covered by a case or screen protector, or anything else that may be obstructive. If the solutions given do not help unfortunately you have a faulty device (or in your case another) and will have to take it to metro to switch it out. Either way I hope that it all works out for you and your experience with this phone can turn positive as you have made an excellent choice in android devices.
