Help Help Anyone - No Scrolling Wallpaper?

I'm trying to set a custom wallpaper to scroll across multiple screens using Apex launcher. It doesn't seem to matter what I set the Wallpaper setting to in Apex, the wallpaper will not scroll. I've tried using other apps (quickpic, some other wallpaper apps) to crop / set the wallpaper for scrolling, nothing seems to work.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Anyone know if this is working properly?

Edit: tried with Nova as well, same issue
 
I'm guessing you've used APEX/NOVA on previous handsets & had no issues w/scrolling wallpaper.
For additional troubleshooting purposes,I'd suggest trying out HOLO LAUNCHER HD,as it is similar to APEX & NOVA.
If you have similar results, I'm guessing the conflict is w/HTC SENSE 6.
From there,I'd look up the app developer contact information in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

FWIW as to troubleshooting purposes, scrolling wallpapers work just fine on my LG devices (running 4.2.2 JELLY BEAN & 4.4.2 KIT KAT) & the GPE MOTO G running 4.4.2 KIT KAT.
 
I've tried Apex, Nova, Holo, Lucid, Solo and stock. Haven't found one yet that allows scrolling wallpaper
 
Just got M8 & no scrolling wallpaper. Most annoying thing, no third party launchers will scroll.
Is this the norm?
Also on a third party launcher, the screen is darker behind on screen keys.

Loaded up HOLO LAUNCHER HD:

Standard wallpapers do not scroll,yet,live wallpapers do.
Ditto on the dark semi-transparent band w/the 3rd party launcher.

FWIW,this is a 1st for myself as well,very weird (at least to me,not knowing squat about ANDROID DEVELOPMENT). :D
 
The HTC Evo 4g LTE had scrolling wallpapers. They disabled it in the previous one and in the current m8. Probably going to have to search for a launcher.
 
Just load Alien Shapes live wallpaper from the store. Set it to random in settings. It will impress you. Every time you open your phone it will become a new experience.
