Root help! applied liberty 2.0.1 update and it flashed droid 2 version

I've been running 2.0 for a few days and when market notified me to update toolbox I did so. After install it informed me 2.0.1 was available so I went ahead and applied the update. Did a wipe for a fresh install and it went through everything perfectly normal but was greeted with my "welcome to Droid x" reading "welcome to Droid 2". The donated toolbox clearly flashed the Droid 2 version of the rom on my x and now I'm wondering what I need to do to flash the correct one.

Should I redownload toolbox and try it again hoping it was an isolated issue?

I appreciate any help or advice. Looking forward to getting back up and running on the proper version of liberty, just worried that I may have done damage to my x with all of this.

I know that in order to use bootstrap you need to have the Droid 2 version not the DX version. Maybe double check your download of Liberty 2.0.1 and make sure you did not accidentally download the D2 version. Did you do a back up before you updated to 2.0.1? If so I would restore to the version prior.

good luck.

Good to know I'm not crazy, had the same problem. Backed up to Liberty 2.0 and verified that model is Droid X. Since I couldn't get TiBu to restore properly I was going to rely on AppBrain to get my apps back. Turns out this won't work either when AppBrain thinks I have a new phone! Argh.

so has anyone figured out if the link has the wrong software labels or if this was just operator error yet? really wanting to give 2.0.1 a run

there is no GB for liberty just yet. 2.0.1 is avail for download, however if you install a theme it will read as 2.0 or 1.5 and your toolbox will think your phone is outdated.

redownload the toolbox(donate) redownload the rom, and reinstall it. if it continues to be droid 2, reinstall 2.0

Take it easy; this is not a big deal. Your DX is just coming out. It probably never felt right as a DX and probably felt like a D2 in a DX's shell.

Also, it'd help if you flashed the DX version of Liberty 2.0.1.

Is anyone else receiving error messages when trying to run any Liberty tweaks on the new Liberty Toolbox 2.0? I receive "error" message when trying to zipalign.

Liberty was prompting you to upgrade to 2.0.1 but would install the wrong patch. D2 for DX or vice versa I believe. I restored to 2.0 then just got the correct patch from jrummy16.com, but I believe the correct patches are in toolbox now.

ok so now im in big trouble. I did a maderstock flash to get my phone back to stock before flashing the droid x version of liberty, and now im stuck in a bootloop?

is there anything I can do or have I bricked my phone?

Did you go into the stock recovery and wipe data?
