My Samsung screen is broken, you cant see it or use it but i think the memory is ok, it recognizes it on my computer as a device and all i need to do is enter the password. and thats where i run into problems THE SCREENS BROKEN. i have a new phone and all i need to do is transfer it all WHAT DO I DO?

Hmmm, not sure. I would try connecting to a Linux box -- and copy the data from the ui side.also on the passed thing, my devices support the Logitech wireless keyboards using an OTA dongle to plug the wireless adapter in ($25-30) at Sam's club for the KB/mouse compatible. I used this when I had a cyanogen update that wouldn't run the KB app.

If you are rooted and have USB debugging enabled, you could try the program in this link
http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/

You can connect your phone to your computer and it will display the phone's screen on your computer allowing you to use the mouse and keyboard to interact with the phone.

According to the site it requires the android SDK and java to be installed (which I have already :p) and with the devices I've tried it on, it works like a charm.

If you have any problems, or need help setting it up, I'll be glad to help. Just let me know where you get stuck :)

Excellent idea lord vincent. It reminded me of how I attach my nexus to a tv... no software.

1) mini hdmi cable to the tv hdmi
2) usb otg cable
3) logitech wireless keyboard/mouse (adapter plugs into the usb)

All on the tv screen with kb/mouse working.

I'll have to see if ther is a linux version of that software to try.
