Root Help ! Bricked Triumph !

Its not bricked, its bootlooping. Brick is when the phone cant boot, get into recovery, and cant see anything(cant see the Motorola Logo).
Also, that kernel has two versions, a stock Froyo version and a CM7 version. Next time make sure you download the right one..

Restore a nandroid backup, one from a thread in the triumph section, or a backup of your own.

ok first... your not bricked :D you phone is boot looping.

Steps to fix:

#1- pull phones battery
#2- with battery out plug phone into power source (this stops the phone from automatically booting up when in a boot loop)
#3- unplug the phone
#4- attempt to boot into recovery, and reflash cm7 to get the right kernel back.

It isn't hard to get into recovery, just hold the other buttons before you hold the power button, and hold for 15 seconds.

yea but sometimes when the triumph boot loops and you pull the battery, and replace the battery. the phone will power itself back on. and my little trick i posted fixes that.

your welcome! just be careful next time... because you might actually brick your phone if your not cautious :D
 
I don't bootloop(make mistakes when it comes to flashing anything) so I shouldn't know that, but that is weird though.

yea it is wierd though... i usually only bootloop from making stuff that wont boot right on my phone. then i restore system from my nandroid and retry my creations :D
