Help Help! Bricked!

Have Samsung S2 updated to 1.4.1.2? (whatever the update from boost site). Tried to follow root instructions with Odin3 and agat 0.6.8. Phone will not boot, but I can get into Volume up and Volume down boot modes. Can someone please tell me how to recover? Thanks in advance

Yes it is called a soft brick

I'm familiar with soft bricks, again it ain't "bricked", meaning a paperweight

soft brick it still the same as a hard brick to anybody who isn't basically a bower user like us, if you don't know about rooting your phone and just follow instructions to update with samsung's site because you got a message about it, you most likely wouldn't know about down/recovery mode and effectively the device be a paperweight to you

Okay but the title doesn't say "help...soft bricked" it says "help bricked" and all I said its he was never bricked. Didn't say he was never soft bricked. It's a mute point, he's fixed.

Alot of users will call their device "bricked" when it doesn't respond/turn on/turn off etc as they would like it to.
We just need to look beyond that and help out It looks like the op has had his issue resolved.
No need to get into a discussion about what a true "brick" is
