Root [HELP] Calkulin's EViO 2 1.8

Okay well im running Calkulin's EViO 2 v1.8 and i really really love this ROM but im having a little problem i would like some help with.

Everytime i restart my phone it just sits at the white HTC EVO 4G screen forever it never boots...Any help? Ill just tell you a little info of what i did so yall know.

I flashed Calkulin's ROM with Amon_Ra and did a full system wipe before hand and then i also installed netarchy-toastmod-bfs-havs-nosbc-universal.

And just to let you know i did install the ROM before the kernal, I have also installed just the ROM and no kernel and it still gave me the problem so i know it cant be the kernel ( or is it?) and then i went onto XDA and it said if it freezed at that screen that maybe deleting the undervolt would fix the problem so i installed the .zip from the XDA website and still doesn't want to boot );

Can anyone help??

Are there any similar ROM's that are just as fast and look nice like this one?

Fixed the issue, I have been browsing these forums for about a month now and i really had high expectations for actually signing up and being a part of the community but i received no help :/ .

I had to goto a different forum just to ask and get help to fix the problem, really hope this isnt an issue all the time because i do like these forums just wish there where more active members willing to help.

i don't know but i think that af is the best around. and the evo rooting forum is the most active site i know of. you just caught us on a low. sorry no one was able to help you.
 
I actually got the kernel to work because o was having some problems with kings Rom at first but I just reflashed the Rom and the kernel and it all worked out (: , kings Rom is awesome I like it a lot. But I really really like calkulins evio 2 v1.8 with toast kernel the one I told you about but calkulins Rom was giving me a lot of problems ): it would work fine but then when I would power off my phone and turn it back it would never pass the white HTC screen I waited hours it would just reset... and then it finally killed my battery and my phone wouldn't charge/turn-on/or open recovery

I ended up just switching over roms but do you what could have caused the evio Rom issue I tryd the Rom by itself no kernel and the same issues persisted
 
you should try some of the gingerbread roms. mikg 2.45 is awesome and mik3d is amazing. i'm digging sense 3.0 right now. and with the freedom .85 kernel i'm getting 14 hours.
 
I was gonna try out mik3D but I got side tracked and forgot :o , I'm definitely going to try that one out. How is it performance wise and what kernel do you recommend for mik3D?

P.s that awesome I barely get like 5-6 hours heavy use ):

well there are only two kernels right now for gingerbread sense roms, golden monkey 1.1 and the freedom .85 kernels. the freedom kernel works well for me. i tried the aggressive freedom kernel, and now i'm gonna try the more freedom kernel.

i love mik3d. i cant wait til it is a final release. but as is, it is amazing.

Sounds awesome! I'll be doing a flash tomorrow for sure!

I was doing some reading earlier on the golden monkey 1.1 and if I'm not mistaken it is still in the early development stage which is more stable gm 1.1 or freedoms kernel?

both worked well for me. i think golden monkey worked better. but there are 4 different versions of the freedom kernel i'm tying out right now. the thing with kernels is that YRMV. what works for me may not works for you. kernels are picky like that. only sure way to know is to make a nandroid backup and try one.
 
Alright sounds good to me ill try out golden monkey and then work my way to the freedom kernels andsee what's best for me thanks for all the help!

Time to hit the sack for me the wife is getting cranky xD pregnant women are a handfull!
