Help! Cannot find WHEN a text was sent to me

I cannot find the time and date that any of my text messages were sent to me. The messages show plainly when I received the text (DUH! of course I know when I recieve it). I have sent texts from my other phone to my huawei and waited 5 minutes to power up and view the text and still the time of when the message was sent does not show up, only the time that I viewed it.

Is this a flaw with the huawei or is there something that I am overlooking some how. I really need to know WHEN a text was SENT to me.

Have you tried long pressing on the message you need the time stamp for? Cuz by doing that it will bring up a menu of actions you can do. Among them should be the message details option, where if you choose that, it will tell you when it was sent to you.

Yes, I have done that and it does bring up a screen that says:

MESSAGE DETAILS
Type: Text message
From: (my other phone number)
Received: (time I received text)
------------------------------------
and that is all.
Is there an app or something that I can download to get the time stamp feature that I need?
 
what messaging app are you using? i use go sms and you can long press to get the time stamp.

on mine it shows:

MESSAGE DETAILS
Type: Text message
From:
Received:
Sent:
Click to expand...

not sure if that is the app or not.

Here's a pic of the screen (I did remove my other cell number).

I don't know what message app that was installed on the phone when I purchased it. How do I find out?
