Help HELP! Can't connect my HTC Inspire to Sync!

RONALDB62

Please help! How do I connect my Inspire to the HTC sync and also to Media Player to download my music/videos?? Doesn't recognize my device, I have Windows 7 32bit, thanks!!

When you plug it in, what connection setting are you using? So long as you select Disk Drive, Windows Media Player (and Explorer) should see it as a new drive.

did you try putting the phone in usb debugging mode? thats what i had to do the first time i connected mine.

menu-settings-applications-development-check debugging

then open HTC Sync and plug the phone in. When the menu pops up on your phone screen choose HTC Sync then done

2many is correct. To use HTC Sync, you'll have to select that when you plug in. To use WMP or see it as a HD, you'll have to select Disk Drive.

I tired this and it said connceted (on my phone) for a second then said disconnected.. My PC showed it as not being connected the entire time.

You can maybe try to uninstall sync then reinstall it, maybe not all of the usb drivers installed properly. It took me 2 htc sync installs then making sure the phome is in debugging mode and usb connection on the phone is in sync mode before it worked properly
