Root Help!!? can't root desire with unrevoked

can someone help me? just tried rooting my phone using unrevoked and i got this error message:


Error: failed to get root. is your firmware too new?


i'm using a mac connected to my desire


anyone know what to do?

phone is running stock 2.2 with sense
 
What's the software build in about phone? Did you do anything like force all apps to sd card?

i did a force apps thing to SD card ages ago

Ok lector had this issue yesterday. Have alook.if you have the superuser app and move it back to the phone.

Can't remember if it does recovery or superuser app first. But move it to phone and try again. If you don't have it, just undo the install location back to phone

just checked my app drawer and no superuser app listed

and how do i undo install location to phone?


(did my dad's wildfire at weekend and that was simple)
 
Its both. Hang on...

Edit> follow the first guide but substitute

"pm setInstallLocation 2"

for

"pm setInstallLocation 0"
