Help HELP! Can't start S3 cos memory's full!

Hi, I am new on here, but am hoping that you can help me?

Yesterday I accidentally filled my phone memory while videoing, so now the phone won't boot. I usually move photos onto the SD card while copying them to my laptop (stopped saving direct to SD card due to time-lag on camera), before it reaches this stage.

I really, really, need my phone - but it has my life on it, including Father's Day photos and work contact numbers I haven't backed up yet - so I don't want to reset and wipe it. A tecchie friend advised me on how to reach safe mode, but she's offline now and all the options looked like ways to wipe the phone & reset it.

Would a new SD card make any difference, when it is the phone memory that is full? Is there anything else that I can do?

Thank you!

No message, it just freezes at the final stage (SAMSUNG with a pulsing light effect). It sticks there indefinitely, I can reboot using the power button to that point only; actually turning it off requires taking the battery out.

Full memory shouldn't cause a bootloop (the condition you describe).

Try booting to safe mode.

If that doesn't work you can try wiping cache in recovery, but I dont remember if stock recovery has that option.
To check power off.
Hold power+home+front button.
Once it shows the samsung logo let go of the power button.

That should bring you to a menu where you can select "factory reset" and a couple other options.

Factory reset will wipe the phones data and cache... including all user files not on the external sd.
There should be an option to wipe just the cache.
Use volume to select it and power to confirm.

If that doesn't work you can factory reset or install a custom recovery so you can pull all the files off of your user data via adb. Or try wiping cache and dalvik in custom recovery.
