Help changing file names

I have a Galaxy SIII Android, and been downloading videos from video streaming websites like VEEHD. These movies are usually designated by a seven digit number... and after downloading, automatically go to the factory installed 'Video' app on the phone.

I very much like this video application, but am unable to change the titles from the websites identifying number to its original given movie/video name.

My question is... is there a system that comes with the phone allowing me to change the name/title, OR do I need to download a 'file management app' of some kind that will allow me to change the numbered title to the movie/films given name?????

If there is a way to change these movies names and keep them in that original video app ( the one with the purple background icon with a white diamond outline within it and with "video" written below the icon... would be very helpful. I really like this app because it allows auto playing of the videos one after the other. I usually sleep to the various videos, and is why I wish to work within that app.

If I do need to download some file management application, I would appreciate a recommendation.

In addition... if you have already guessed... I am a complete novice in tech talk... I see words like 'Rom' and have no idea what that is.

Thank you for your advice and recommendations.

Is the Android file explorer a function that comes with the phone, or one that needs to be installed?

Also, thanks for the help.

Thank you svim for the recommendation. I went and downloaded the app you mentioned and after a little bit of work, was able to change the numerical titles to the movies original name.
I did run into one concern when using the ES file explorer. That was, as I corrected the names of the movies, they were pulled from the 'video' section of the phone and retained within the ES file explorer folder, thus stopping the 'auto play' function on the phone. (I really counted on the auto play function to allow the next film to begin play after the current film ends. I will continue to try to find a way to get the films back to the video section of the phone or hopefully identify a way for ES File Explorer to play the movies... one after the other.

Thanks again for helping me solve my problem.

Hey 'funkylogic'I just found the 'My Files' app on my phone. Makes me feel like an idiot because it was right there in front of me. It had all my films on there and an easy... renamefunction. Thank you for pointing out the obvious that I of course missed.

Thank you all who replied and offered help. I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to help me.
