Root HELP! ClockWork to Amon!

I just rooted a friends phone, all is perfect with that. It is now Synergized, but I could not get ROM manager to let me flash Amon. What am I missing?

Also, went to update profile after getting every thing set up, and I got an error message 1012

Well, you are experiencing one of the issues that make most of us recommend NOT using Rom Manager. If you got here and download the PC36IMG file for Amon RA 2.3. Follow the directions there and you should have Amon recovery in a few minutes. Make a fresh backup and you should be good to go. Make sure to make at least one with the wimax keys saved and put it on your pc for safe keeping.

My opinion, ditch Rom Manager. I have seen too many problems with it including having to reflash roms manually for bootloops.

I only tried to use ROM Manager for the Flash, I do not use it for flashing ROMs.

OH CRAP! I think I messed up, I did not make a backup of the STOCK ROM before I flashed Synergy! Did I just screw the pooch doin that?

No. Just make sure you make one of your current rom. You will likely never go back to the stock rom anyway unless you unroot for service and that will reflash it to stock in the unrooting process.
