Lurker
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm a new Fascinate owner and am completely confused on the contacts and groups. When I first got the phone, I did not have the rep at the Verizon store sync my contacts as I wanted to do it from Outlook on my desktop computer. So I did. Everything seemed to sync fine. Then I realized that some of my contacts had other contact info (address, email address, phone numbers etc.), no idea how this happened and I'm not even sure if my contacts were like that or not prior to syncing to the Fascinate. Here's my major problem (as if the one above isn't enough), I deleted all the contacts out of my Outlook thinking I would just sync from the Fascinate back to Outlook on my desktop. However, when I try to sync, only a few contacts show up in Outlook. I noticed that if I go in and edit a contact and then sync again, they will show up in Outlook. But none of the others do. I am using Dejaoffice and the trial version of Companionlink software. Any replies are appreciated.

Well you could export the contacts from the phone as a vcard file,
which I think you can edit with notepad. The export thing
is hidden under (Contacts) Options key - more - export/import.

You could also use Android Manager Wifi to connect with the phone so you
can get the file off the sdcard. AM Wifi also has a contacts manager in it
of sorts, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to edit it there.

send everything from your old phone to the fascinate using bluetooth. thats how i did both my phone and my wifes.
