Help Help Deleting emails off both phone and the century link server.

I read through all the other threads. And nothing seemed to answer my question like I wanted. I have century link that is a pop server run off of Hotmail I believe. I have the button pressed in the options to delete from the server. But when I go on my laptop and ck, all the emails are still there. Please help.
