Root [Help] [expirement ] [need info ] Stellar rom on Legend !

Hi,
I am just wondering, have any one tried putting stellar ODIN pacakge on Legend.
As both phone are almost same, only difference is one is prepaid and one is postpaid.
any one with experiment already done ?
Will it brick ? will it make legend a stellar.
Wanted to do this , as on stellar I can use my carrier CDMA sim card and use it as nomally without any flashing or anything.
But I heard in Legend sim card is not used, and number is pre-programed on it.
can some one put some light on this ?

tech specs are same, samsung code name is same.
only stellar model number is i200 and legend model number is i20pp (pp=pre pay)

stellar uses SIM slot for LTE card, and legend dont use SIM slot at all, but legend have SIM lot (which is empty while using it on PP service)

by flashing stellar ODIN to Legend, wanted to use Legend SIM slot for CDMA SIM cards.

But dont know its already tried or not.
 
ive read that the wifi want work but as soon as i can get a unlocked bootloader on this phone ill put twrp so i can have a back up and will start testing


what ever you do never flash the baseband it will make your signal weak for some reason i did that with the lg optimus exceed/the lg lucid which is the same deal with these two phones ones prepaid with one name and the other is post paid with the og name all and all that was a bad idea lol but everything else worked so

U did with LG. This is Samsung and I think recovery is already available for stellar
 
yes i know what phone we have the Samsung galaxy legend aka Samsung galaxy stellar i was giving in example of what Verizon does with there prepaid phones i also own the lg optimus exceed which is the pp of the lucid any ways the stellar has twrp yes boot our boot loader is locked and if you try to flash twrp then it gives you the yellow triangle and says something about turning your phone off and going to a verizon store to me all that means is your phone is bricked lets unbrick which ive done twice to my phone i wished we had a boot stripper app thats how we got around the locked bootloader for the lg lucid any help would be great i want to move apps to sd lol bad
 
bootstrap want work for our device but after alot of digging this is what i have found

O wow that's. Great. If you happen to find that link of you can post it that would be great. I know some devs that said they would work on this phone if. They can get a stock rom from it so if i can get. A custom recovery i can get them that and they would support it then we can. See how far this phone can go. :-D
 
Stellar and legend both are totally different devices.
Baseband and hardware are different
But legend can be flashed to cricket with phoneutil.Spk

Whats do u meen the legend can be flashed to cricket... I have a legend thats rooted but thats it i want a custom recovery, rom, kernal or anything for it lok
 
My main purpose to start this thread was to able to use legend on other carriers . Here we use cdma sim cards on stellar
And legend is almost same as stellar. Only without sim slot.
Now we have found the way to use This phone on other carriers like cricket and rcdma.
Using one carrier phone on other with help of programing is called flashing.
This flashing is totally different than loading custom rom or recovery or even rooting
