Root Help explain?

Can someone help explain to me how we are able to flash cm10 and AOKP on our phones without getting the moning call bs?

I'm working on something to contribute to the forum and morningcall is just so close to making me flip out and rage.

I hate to say negative things but morningcall needs to be stabbed. :mad:
 
Well it appears that Morning Call had been removed from the Play Store but is back again. Can't you just delete that app? I thought that when you were using these custom ROMs and had rooted you could remove any app you didn't want?
 
Morningcall isn't an app, its a binary in /system/bin that is checked by the Wallpaper binary in /sbin and started by init.lge.early.rc in /.
 
All right I admit the OP is a little vague and I have an irrational fear of rooting but something must be wrong or why complain? Anyway I'll just watch this thread and see what develops...
 
It's flashed through a 2nd init recovery, rather than a traditional recovery. The kernel is still stock though afaik.

Perhaps you can share what you are attempting to do

Yes I understand that also. This is weird. There's no custom kernel being installed. I'm going to try something else one more time before giving up.
