1. Ok im running leedroid 2.3d are ther any good battery saving options anyone can suggest
2. Wen baking up using titanium iv been backing up all apps and user data some ppl have bern writing to not do this just backup apps whats correct?
3. I used theme kitchen to mod status bar and status bar no lonfer hides while using fb or loading web pages not major but a bit annoying thanks.

Backup everything with titanium. If you need a wipe after flashing Rom, then you can't restore everything. Just restore user apps (restore missing apps with data)

It's system data you need to be careful of at this stage.

Battery life. Do you have setCPU? If not, get it

Yes it is.

Well all you need is a screen off profile, with min and max set to lowest Clock speed (245Mhz on your kernel?) to start seeing battery imporvements.

If thats the only profile, no need to change priority, but if you add others, it wants to be the highest priority.

Set to 100...

Issues with low voltage manifest when phone has been idle for a while. Tends to result in a reboot at low frequencies, so keep tabs on your uptime figures. If you think it has been on longer than it says it has, you probably had a reboot.

No need. Smartass (the default governer in LeeDroid) does that by default. SetCPU is best if you want to overclock or create other low battery type profiles. I've not got any set up just the overclock to 1152. PS SetCPU is also free if you're a member of the xda forums but its still good to support the dev

Are you sure? I thought Smartass still scaled when screen off? I find smartass too slow to wake from screen off anyway, so wouldnt use it or recommend it myself.

I heard it was a 254 max/min when screen off unless you set up SetCPU otherwise. This seemed to be what was coming out of the official xda thread.

All I know is that when I look at the stats my cpu is at 254 an awful lot of the time.

If I'm wrong then so much the better though as it means I can squeeze a bit more life out of the battery......IF I could stop playing Tower Raiders....

Ah no, I'm not saying you are wrong. I just didnt know it so thought it was the same as everything else.

Could always test the draw with smartass and set cpu using current widget

Apparently Smartass is just 'On Demand' with the screen off profile built in. May still do a little testing though......

It must be more than that as I used to get slightly better Quadrants with smartass... Or maybe thats placebo?

anyway, happy to admit I know nothing about smartass ;)

It will help to save battery as its lower than the Smartass thresholds but you may find it sluggish when you switch back on for a second or two. Try it!

All I have is on the front screen of SetCPU the max set to 1152 and the min set to 254. Only the max has been changed from the default of 998. The 'scaling' is set as Smartass and set on boot is ticked. Everything else is left alone - no profiles. You can go lower than 254 and if you want set up a screen off profile lower than 254. Both should save battery but may also make your phone sluggish.

Yes, agree. Also, changing governers between profiles can cause lag too, so if you have smartass screen on and ondemand screen off, switching between the two is a bit of a prob.

Apparently the most efficient screen off governor is Performance (cant remember where I read that). If you set to min / max same, because it runs at max constantly, it doesn't have to sample CPU usage to determine if it needs to up scale or not.
