Help help finding backed up files

I thought I had done everything right before I reset my phone to factory settings but now I can't restore it.

First, I used the default "backup and reset" in the phone settings. But now where do I go to restore the files I backed up?

Second, I also thought I made a backup over wifi using Kies. After I reset the phone to factory settings, there was no Kies! Now, I know Kies came with my phone originally because I didn't even know what it was until I read a thread about using it for backup. How do I get it back and where are the files I backed up with it?

Finally, some of the apps came back with settings when I reinstalled them again from the play store, but some just reinstalled as a new install - like Candy Crush - where did all my completed levels go?

If any of you can shed some light on these problems, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum
I think you lose most settings when you back up that way. After the reset, when you signed back into the phone there should have been a check box for auto restoring apps.
The best way to back up apps is to root and use an app like titanium or not rooted you can use Helium.
Not sure what you mean about Kies tbh. Kies is a computer programme.
Or is there a mobile version?

Funkylogic is right - when you reset the phone and set it back up again - there would have been an option to restore your apps, sms, logs etc, and then when you signed in with your google account (to link with gmail) there should have been an option that came up that would have offered to restore all of your saved wallpapers and app data.
