Every time I try and apply the zip from my sd card i select it then it makes me go into the zip and choose /system, /data, or something else what is going wrong? sorry this is my first custom rom flashing..

When you download the zip file does your mac automatically unzip the file? Safari is set to unzip files by default. If so here's the fix:
Open Safari
Click Safari (next to the apple icon in the upper right corner)
Preferences
General Tab
At the very bottom of the general tab UNCHECK "Open safe files automatically"
Once you uncheck that, redownload the zip, put it on the sd card and then reflash.

Ahh! Thanks I did not know that obviously I'm in the process of getting all this done so I'll let you know if that worked out but I'm sure it will. Thanks again!!

It should. Man when I first started getting into this, it took me so freaking long to figure out what the problem was!!!! lol
