Help Help for a Dummy, please

I have had 6 weeks of my Evo overheating, and after talking to Sprint and HTC and doing my research, I am picking up the Evo 3D tomorrow.

However, I have googled like crazy and asked at the Spring store, but I still can't figure out how to save my text messages. I downloaded SMS Backup and followed the directions. Nothing happens. How do I find the texts? Where are they on my Gmail account? Is there a better app?

I'm sorry about being so confused.

If you've used SMS Backup, all your messages should be saved in your gmail under a label called "SMS". Check to see if they are there. If not, double check the settings in that app to make sure that is where you have it set to save.

Okay, my Gmail account does show 100 SMS messages that were backed up. I have thousands, though. How do I back up the rest?

Download SMS Backup and Restore (not sure if that's the app you've already downloaded), select backup, and all your SMS messages will be saved onto your sd card. Like you, I have tons of SMS message, and I have saved all of them successfully time after time. It should work for you too.
