Hi I am from india.and I just recently got this device unlocked from london.i used it with airtel with no problem as internet settings are directly provided by them so I can use them with ease.but when I insert this bsnl 3g sim no access point are their.but I knew how to do after adding apn no 2g or 3g was there.i mean no internet connection?i called customer care but they said my phone is not supported.wtf pleat help.i have enabled my data in settings.

If your carrier says it's not compatible, it's probably NOT compatible.

Just because it's a 3G GSM phone with HSDPA does not mean all GSM/HSDPA are the same.

I'm not sure how it is over there, but here in the states we have AT&T and T-Mobile. Both GSM, Both HSDPA... but on different frequencies for the 3G and HSDPA. Their 2G networks are the same, but nothing above that. So, if I were to unlock my Atrix and pop a T-Mobile SIM in, it would not work properly. I may or may not be able to make phone calls, and if I did get any Data, it would be EDGE(2G), not 3G/4G.

I'm sure that's what you are looking at over there.
Sorry - but your carrier is going to know more about it than us. And, if they say it's not compatible, it's not compatible with their network.

There's more to it than frequency, there's also data encapsulations and encryption protocols. It's possible that the Atrix does not have the proper protocols to talk to their network.

Their customer care might be crap, but they know more about what works on their networks than any of us will.

Just type bsnlnet in the apn(Access Point Name) in the internet setting. This will work.
And whatever problem with the bsnl service, it's waste of time to ask the customer care, better google it.
